Vince Lamanna is Senior Vice President, Sales at Novo Nordisk Inc.
(NNI) since February 14, 2022. He is responsible for leading diabetes,
obesity and cardiovascular sales teams as well as the educator teams
across the US. Vince is the Executive Sponsor for the VANN (Veterans
at Novo Nordisk) Employee
Resource Group, which provides veterans and their supporters
opportunities to showcase leadership skills, execute professional
development, and engage in community service events. He is also the
Executive Sponsor for NovoHealth, an employee program that helps
motivate and engage participants on their wellness journey.
Vince is an accomplished pharmaceutical leader with more than 30
years of broad and progressive experience in sales leadership,
marketing excellence, general management, external affairs, market
access and finance.
In his previous role as Vice President and Commercial Lead for the
South Area at NNI, Vince was responsible for developing Area level
diabetes and obesity strategy, driving strong business performance,
and building a sustainable culture for the South—a geography comprised
of more than 550 employees spanning nine states and Puerto Rico.
Under his leadership, the South Area posted nation leading sales and
execution performance across our three most recent GLP-1 product
launches. Prior to leading the South, he was Vice President of
Diabetes Sales for the West Area covering 22 states and leading that
team with top market share in the nation for our diabetes GLP-1 franchise.
Preceding his time in the US, Vince led the Canadian affiliate, Novo
Nordisk Canada Inc. (NNCI) where he served as President and General
Manager for nine years. Under his tenure, NNCI grew to the #7
affiliate globally and was recognized as a Top 100 Canadian Employer.
While in Canada, he also served as an Executive Board Member and
Treasurer at both Innovative Medicines Canada and BioteCanada.
Vince was inducted to the Canadian Healthcare Marketing Hall of Fame
in 2010. Notable internal recognitions include the Novo Nordisk
“Global Sales Manager of the Year” award in 2006 and the Novo Nordisk
“Global Manager of the Year” award in 2021.
Vince holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance degree from the
University of Toronto. He has also completed several executive
education courses, including the General Management Program at Harvard
Business School, and advanced business programs at The Wharton School
and Queens University.
