Craig Bleifer was appointed Corporate Vice President, Legal & Corporate Affairs for Novo Nordisk Inc. in February 2018. The Legal & Corporate Affairs Department includes Intellectual Property, Employment Law, Litigation & Risk Management, Legal Affairs (which among other things supports all of our brand teams and the sales organization), Communications, and Corporate Giving & Social Impact.
Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, Mr. Bleifer was Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at Daiichi Sankyo since 2000, responsible for legal affairs, commercial regulatory affairs, intellectual property, government affairs and public policy, public affairs and communications. He served as a global advisor and collaborator on various legal and executive committees within the organization. Prior to that, Mr. Bleifer worked in private law firms for over 8 years.
Mr. Bleifer was awarded General Counsel of the Year in 2012 by NJBIZ Magazine and In-House Legal Department of the Year in 2011 by the NJ Law Journal.
Mr. Bleifer received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Vassar College and his law degree from New York University School of Law. He currently serves as Chair of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America’s (PhRMA) Law Section Executive Committee (LSEC) and is Immediate Past Chairman and Member of Board of Trustees of the Healthcare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ).
