Jamie Haney is Corporate Vice President, Legal & General Counsel at Novo Nordisk Inc.

Jamie Haney is Corporate Vice President and General Counsel at Novo Nordisk Inc. starting with the company in August 2020. She is responsible for leading Novo Nordisk's U.S. Legal organization. Under her direction, this team of professionals provide legal counsel across Novo Nordisk North America Operations. This includes providing guidance in all commercial, enterprise and business development activities and initiatives, directing litigation strategies and mitigating risk and managing its intellectual property.

Ms. Haney has 13 years of corporate legal and healthcare leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and private law sectors. Before joining Novo Nordisk in 2020, she was Managing Director at Eli Lilly Suisse, the company's Switzerland affiliate, where she was responsible for all aspects of the +$100M business.

Prior to her role as Managing Director, Ms. Haney held diverse positions across Eli Lilly’s legal and commercial units. For three years, Jamie served as Assistant Corporate Secretary/Corporate Securities and Antitrust Counsel where she advised leadership on corporate governance and legal matters. She also held sales leadership roles that involved the supervision of a national team of regional market directors and regional market access representatives. Earlier in her career she worked as an attorney at a leading international law firm focusing on complex commercial securities and antitrust cases in a range of industries including healthcare, consumer, and commercial products.

During her time in Switzerland, Jamie served on the Executive Committee of Interpharma - the pharmaceutical trade association. She is also an active advocate for diversity and inclusion and co-founded the Leading Women in the Law Division ("WILD") at Lilly.

Ms. Haney is a member of the bar associations of Illinois and Indiana. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Purdue University and earned her law degree from DePaul University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude.
