Richard Sperry is Vice President, Executive Office and Chief of Staff at Novo Nordisk Inc. He is responsible for providing executive support and assisting the Executive Vice President, North America Operations and President of Novo Nordisk Inc. in driving key initiatives and organizational priorities. He plays a key role in managing business complexity and driving performance in Novo Nordisk’s largest sales region, comprised of the United States and Canada.
Mr. Sperry has over 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. He joined Novo Nordisk in 2002 and worked primarily in sales operations and sales effectiveness roles before joining Market Access in 2011 and then Marketing in 2016 as Vice President, Commercial Planning and Operations. In Market Access, Mr. Sperry served as Senior Director, Strategic Execution, where he led operations and also directed the Institutional and Trade account executive teams. He has worked in both the U.S. affiliate and in Novo Nordisk’s Region Europe headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Georgetown University, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a Certificate of Professional Development from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
